Homonyms
Hi welcome back after a week's break! I had a busy week myself. Took a short break at Batam from Tuesday to Wednesday. Then I had full day course at Health Promotion Board on Thursday and Friday. Anyway I'm so pleased to see all of you again, especially when I received your projects :) Will put them up in class this week and post pictures of them here.
Here's the powerpoint I used today for the English lesson on Homonyms. Do practise more and enjoy the matching game!

http://www.sdnhm.org/kids/lightsalive/index.html
On this web site you can do quizzes, word searches and find a glossary about bioluminescent animals (animals which produce their own light).
http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/scienceclips/ages/5_6/light_dark.shtml
In this activity you click and drag different objects into the centre of the room to see which will illuminate the various objects.

Play the Turn on the Lights game, which is part of the Colour and Light Journey. If this is the first time you are playing this game, you will need to register a unique name so that you can return to complete the game later. You may want to write your name down somewhere so that you will remember it later.

On this web site you can identify many different sources of light in different places. Follow the link at the bottom of the page to do the Interactive White board activity.
http://www.engineeringinteract.org/resources/alienattack/alienattacklink.htm
In this game, called Alien Attack!, you must find out which alien is trying to blow up the Earth. You do this by answering questions about light. For this lesson, you should focus on the suspect KAM, as his questions are about light sources and light rays.
Below is a self-test that you can do after finishing the activity.
